On Which Dates Can You Enroll In, Switch To And Cancel AMedicare Advantage plans 2022 Program?
At various periods of the year, you may join, transfer, or cancel a Medicare Advantage plans 2022.It is at this time that you become a Medicare beneficiary. (from three months before you turn 65 to three months after the month you turn 65)
The three months prior to three months after your 25th month of incapacity may be used to sign up for Medicare.Every year, from November 15 to December 31. (your coverage will begin on January 1 of the following year)Every year, from January 1 to March 31.
Prescription medicine coverage isn’t available during this time period.Without Medicare’s prescription medication coverage (Part D). A Medicare Medical Savings Account Plan can’t be dropped during this time period.
Enrolling in, switching to, or canceling a Medicare Advantage Plan
If you have Medicare, you can’t wait until the last minute to enroll in a plan. So if you want to enroll, call your state’s Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP). If you want to switch to a Medicare Advantage Plan or cancel a Medicare Advantage Plan, you must take action by December 7, 2017, to get the current benefits and plan options you’re eligible for.
When can you enroll?
You can enroll or switch in the current plan you have when you first become eligible for Medicare
You can switch, but you can only do so during the three months before to three months after your 25th month of disability.During the three months after your 25th month of disability, if you still have a Medicare Advantage plans 2022 or Medicare Medical Savings Account Plan, you can switch or change it
You can only enroll during the three months after your 25th month of disability if you are switching to or from a Medicare Advantage Plan, have Medicare prescription drug coverage, or have Medicare Medical Savings Account Plan coverage.

When can you switch plans?
You can switch plans during Medicare enrollment periods (based on your income) and at the end of each year.
It’s important that you take your time. Medicare changes, sometimes dramatically, during enrollment periods. You might find yourself at a higher premium or lower out-of-pocket costs.
Determine the number of full months your income will be low enough to qualify for premium assistance. Generally, the minimum threshold for premium assistance is $25,500 for 2019. If you meet this low income requirement, there’s no reason to rush through your enrollment period.
How can you cancel?
As noted, Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage. If you opt out of the plan, you’ll lose this benefit. You won’t receive a notice or find a “cancellation form” on your page of benefits.
When can you cancel your plan?
If you have had Medicare prescription medication coverage for more than 90 days and it terminates, you are eligible for a 30-day extension.
